Give the customer a service history that stays with the car
AutoLogi lets an automotive service business create a digital history for a customer’s car and record the first completed job before handing the history over to the customer.
What is AutoLogi?
AutoLogi is a vehicle-based digital service and repair history. Work carried out, mileage, invoices, documents and photos can be kept with the vehicle. The history is not tied to one service provider or owner and can be transferred with the car when it is sold.
How does the first customer work?
- The business offers the customer the option of a digital history and gets their agreement.
- The business uses its AutoLogi account to add the customer’s car.
- It records the completed work, mileage and, if useful, an invoice or photos.
- It enters the customer’s email address and creates a secure transfer link.
- The business shares the link with the customer, who accepts the vehicle history into their own AutoLogi account.
The transfer link is valid for a limited time. The customer must accept it while it is active. AutoLogi does not ask the business to handle the customer’s password.
What happens next time?
The history belongs to the vehicle after the customer has accepted it. For a later visit, the owner grants permission for the chosen date. The service provider scans the same permanent service QR code and can add the new work without creating another AutoLogi account.
What does the business gain?
The customer receives a clear record that stays with the car, not just a paper invoice. The business name, completed work and documents remain together. AutoLogi does not replace workshop management software; it gives the customer lasting documentation of the work.
We are looking for businesses that want to try it
Start with one customer, one car and one real job. We also welcome feedback about the setup, adding entries and anything that could be clearer or easier.

AutoLogi shows information and documents added to the service. It does not automatically verify their accuracy or completeness and does not replace a technical inspection of the vehicle.
Create a service history for your first customer
1. Keep the first trial small
Start with one customer, one vehicle, one real job and one AutoLogi entry.
2. What you need
- An AutoLogi account for the business.
- The customer’s agreement to create a history for the vehicle.
- The vehicle details and the customer’s email address.
- The details of the work you completed.
- An invoice or photos are optional.
3. Step by step
- Ask the customer whether they would like a digital history for the vehicle.
- Sign in to AutoLogi and add the customer’s vehicle, including its registration number and other available details.
- Add the first entry with the completed work and mileage. Attach an invoice or photos if useful.
- Open the vehicle transfer option and enter the customer’s email address.
- AutoLogi creates a secure transfer link. Share that link with the customer.
- The customer registers or signs in with the same email address and accepts the vehicle history into their account.
Do not ask for or handle the customer’s password. The transfer is completed only when the customer accepts the link.
4. The service QR code
The permanent service QR code is created for the vehicle when it is added. After the transfer, the same code stays with the car. At a later visit, the owner grants permission for the chosen date and the service provider scans the code to add a new entry without a separate account.
5. If the transfer does not work
Check that the correct customer email was entered and that the customer is using the same address in AutoLogi. Make sure the transfer link is still active. If necessary, cancel the pending transfer and create a new one. Never ask the customer for their password.
6. Please do not
- Create a history without the customer’s agreement.
- Ask for or store the customer’s password.
- Record work your business did not carry out.
- Describe an entry or history as verified, official or complete.
- Confuse the permanent service QR code with the read-only public sharing link.
7. After the first customer
Tell us how the process felt in everyday work. We welcome feedback about adding the vehicle, making an entry, transferring the history and anything that could work differently.

Accept your vehicle’s AutoLogi history
The service business has created a digital history for your vehicle and added the work it completed. You remain in control: the vehicle history moves to your account only after you accept the transfer.
What to do
- Open the transfer link sent to you by the service business.
- Register or sign in with the same email address that the business entered for the transfer.
- Check that the vehicle and sender are correct.
- Accept the vehicle history into your account.
- Open the vehicle and check the first entry, mileage and any attachments.
Never give the service business your AutoLogi password. If the vehicle, sender or work details are wrong, do not accept the transfer before asking the business to correct them.
Next time
Before a later service visit, choose the date on which the service provider may add a new entry. The provider scans the vehicle’s permanent service QR code and adds the work without needing its own AutoLogi account.
Scanning the code alone does not grant write access. The permission applies only on the date you choose and can be ended early.
When the vehicle is sold
The history belongs to the vehicle. You can transfer the vehicle and the history collected in AutoLogi to the next owner. The permanent service QR code stays with the car, while your active and future entry permissions end when the transfer is accepted.

1. What is AutoLogi?
It is a digital, vehicle-based service and repair history for work, mileage, invoices, documents and photos.
2. Who is it for?
Vehicle owners and automotive service businesses such as garages, tyre and body shops, detailers, diagnostic specialists and car washes. A shared history can also be shown to a buyer.
3. Is it workshop management software or an official vehicle register?
No. It is not job management, accounting software or an official register. It stores the vehicle history entered into AutoLogi.
4. Is AutoLogi free?
AutoLogi is currently free. This describes the current situation and is not a promise that it will always remain free.
Starting with a customer
5. Who creates the vehicle history for the first job?
With the customer’s agreement, the service business can add the vehicle to its AutoLogi account, record the first completed job and then transfer the history to the customer.
6. What information does the business need?
The vehicle details, the customer’s email address and information about the completed work. An invoice or photos can be added if useful.
7. Does the business need the customer’s password?
No. The business must never ask for or handle the customer’s password.
8. How is the history transferred to the customer?
The business enters the customer’s email address and AutoLogi creates a secure, time-limited transfer link. The business shares the link with the customer, who registers or signs in with the same address and accepts the history.
For service businesses
9. Does the business need an AutoLogi account for the first job?
Yes. The business account is used to add the customer’s vehicle, make the first entry and start the transfer. After the customer has accepted the vehicle, a later authorised entry can be added through the service QR code without another AutoLogi account.
10. Who enters the business name?
The person making the entry enters their own name or the business name on the form.
11. What information can an entry contain?
Title, category, date, mileage, work description, cost and a recommendation for the next service. One entry may cover several tasks from the same job.
12. What files can be attached?
Invoices, documents and photos related to the vehicle or the work described.
13. How does the first trial work?
Use one customer, one vehicle, one real job and one entry. The business gets the customer’s agreement, creates the vehicle and first entry, then shares the transfer link. The customer accepts the history into their own account and checks the entry.
Service QR code and later entries
14. When is the permanent service QR code created?
When the vehicle is added. The code belongs to the vehicle and stays with it after the history is transferred.
15. Can the sticker be prepared before the vehicle is added?
No. The specific vehicle and its code must exist first.
16. Must the code be a sticker in the car?
No. It can initially be shown on a phone. A sticker can later go on the door pillar, inside the glovebox or with the vehicle documents.
17. Does scanning the code grant write access?
No. After the vehicle has been transferred, a new entry can be added only while the owner’s permission for that vehicle and date is active.
18. What happens if permission is missing or expired?
No entry can be added through the service QR code. The owner must select the correct vehicle and grant permission for the day of the work.
19. What happens at the next service?
The owner grants new permission for the new date. The service provider scans the same permanent code and adds another entry to the same vehicle history without needing its own AutoLogi account.
History and sharing
20. Does AutoLogi contain every job ever done to the vehicle?
Not necessarily. It contains only entries and attachments added to AutoLogi. AutoLogi does not automatically verify accuracy, completeness or the vehicle’s mechanical condition.
21. What is the difference between the service QR code and the public sharing link?
The service code opens the entry workflow, where adding a new entry still requires the owner’s permission. The public link and public QR code are read-only.
22. What happens when the vehicle is sold?
The current owner can transfer the vehicle and its collected history to the next owner. The permanent service QR code stays with the vehicle, the previous owner’s active and future permissions end, and the new owner manages new ones.
